January - 2026

  Sunday 11th Bothy Folk Club, Southport 19:30  
The Bothy is where Raphael Callaghan got his start in live music - playing harmonica for singer Jim James - in 1966! Raphael is bound to include anecdotes about Jim in this full guest appearance at the club, with the sad news that Jim passed away in September. Expect blues, gospel and roots played on a Fylde guitar that was gifted to Raphael by Jim many years ago. Doors 7pm, music from 7.30pm. Full PA. Watch Bothy website for ticket details.
  Saturday 24th Mid Wales R and B Club, Brecon 19:30  
An intimate evening of Raphael Callaghan's blues, gospel and roots in the beautiful surroundings of Kensington Baptist Church, Kensington, Brecon LD3 9AY, with a bar and super sound system. Support act to be confirmed. Check Mid Wales R and B Club website for tickets at £20, limited availability . . .

  Sunday 8th Warrington Folk Club 20:00  
Raphael Callaghan is the guest at the long-running Warrington Folk Club at The Bull's Head, Church Street, Warrington WA1 2SX. It's a long time since he played there so he's delighted to be asked back. No PA, in the back room with 'amazing acoustics!' Admission £6.

April - 2026

  Sunday 26th Saltburn Acoustic Blues Club 19:30  
A return booking for Raphael Callaghan now that Harry Simpson has returned to Saltburn in North Yorkshire and re-opened his club, now known as Saltburn Acoustic Blues Club. New venue, the Victoria Pub, 3-5 Dundas Street East, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, TS12 1AH. Doors 7pm, music from 7.30pm-10pm, reserve your £10 tickets with Harry on 07960 935263.

June - 2026

  Thursday 4th Groundhog Blues Club, Wrekin Arms, Wellington 19:00  
The Groundhog Blues Club honours the memory of Tony McPhee, guitarist and leader of the Groundhogs. Tony produced the first recordings of Raphael Callaghan in 1969 so he's pleased to be asked to open tonight's intimate show, starring the hard-working band the Worried Men. Doors 7pm\, music 7.30pm prompt, 10pm finish. Suggested donation £5 on the door. Venue is the Wrekin Arms, Wellington, Telford, Shropshire TF1 1RH.

September - 2026

  Thursday 8th New Everyman Folk Club, Liverpool 19:30  
A return booking at this lovely club for Raphael, this time bringing his PA. Venue is Aigburth Cricket and Bowls Club, Southwood Road, Liverpool L17 7BQ. Music from 7.30pm. Free admission but donations in the hat most welcome . . .
